| MAX, Municipal Area Express, is a commuter bus service specifically designed to address the commuting needs of South Bay residents who work in the El Segundo employment center. MAX offers three routes through the South Bay, and operates during the morning and afternoon peak commuting hours.
MAX buses are equipped with air conditioning, airline style reclining seats, reading lights and overhead parcel racks.

Notice of Fare Increase: MAX Policy Steering Committee approved for a price increase effective July 1, 2008. For Routes 2 &3, the new fare is $1.50 and for Route 3x, the new fare is $2.00. All change to the prices will be effective July 1, 2008. For more information, please click here!
